Contact: Marcia Horn FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Film and Bag Federation/Northeast Region Sets Meeting Dates For 2000 WASHINGTON (January 20, 2000) – The Film and Bag Federation/Northeast Region has set its schedule of business programs for 2000. The kick-off meeting, to take place Tuesday, March 7, will feature Jim Feeney, President, Windmoeller and Hoelscher, speaking on "…And What Else Is Changing Around Us And Why Should We Care?" The March 7th meeting location is the LaGuardia Marriott, Elmhurst, New York. Future meetings will take place at various locations in the New York-New Jersey area. The June 6th meeting, also planned for the LaGuardia Marriott, will focus on the newest technology and trends in bag making machinery and feature a roundtable of manufacturers and customers. A September 26th meeting is planned for Saddle Brook, New Jersey; the December 5th meeting will take place in New York City. Topics for these meetings include a roundtable discussion with end-users, and mergers and acquisitions: selling, buying (and dealing with) a family business. Tabletop exhibits will be available for all the meeting sessions. Fees for the programs are $50 for FBF/SPI members; $65 for non-members. Meetings generally start with a reception at 5:30 pm; dinner at 6:30 pm; and a business session at 7:45 pm. Registration information may be obtained from Karen Miles, FBF, 202-974-5215. Dozens of companies and their executives throughout the region participate in our activities. Attendees include converters, extruders making film, bags, or envelopes, and recyclers of plastic film and their suppliers.
