![]() Contact: Paula Weis FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Limbach Steps Down as SPI's Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Communications WASHINGTON (March 14, 2005) - Bonnie Merrill Limbach, senior vice president for public affairs and communications at The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) has resigned from her post after eight years with the association. The staffing change is effective immediately. Limbach, who oversaw SPI's public policy initiatives, as well as its communications and outreach programs, previously served as the association's chief communications officer. During her tenure, she was instrumental in the development of the "Fantastic Plastics Works," SPI's 5,000 sq.-ft. plastics industry showcase at INNOVENTIONS at Epcot® at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL. "Bonnie's energy and skill have been instrumental to SPI's growth as an organization. Through her leadership, SPI became better established and more widely recognized as the voice of the plastics industry," said SPI President William Carteaux. "I'm confident we have a strong team in place to build on the momentum in terms of SPI's public affairs and communications programs. I join this team along with Bonnie's other colleagues in thanking her for her dedication and commitment to the organization and wish her well in all her future endeavors," he said. Paula Weis, director of communications and marketing, will perform the communications and outreach duties until a permanent replacement for Ms. Limbach is confirmed.
