MEMBERSHIP & ELIGIBILITY

The Sheet Producers Division is a business unit of the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc., (SPI). Membership is open to extruder manufacturers, resin suppliers and extruder of plastic sheet and rollstock.

Sheet producer members are asked to direct their allocable SPI dues to the division.

Overview

Founded in 1970, the Sheet Producers Division was established to promote the use of plastics sheet and rollstock products by the assembly and dissemination of scientific and engineering information on various thermoplastic materials.

Identification and communication of federal and state legislative and regulatory initiatives to help grow market opportunities by promoting plastic sheet and rollstock against metals and other competitive materials.

Develop and carry out appropriate testing programs and technical specifications, chemical and physical test procedures and performance standards for plastic sheet.

Compile and disseminate technical, statistical, environmental and other data of interest to the industry:

• FRP and composite market data
• Guide to Extruded Plastic Sheet Products
• Safety videos
• Customs and Practices of Custom Sheet Extruders
