SPI SOUTHERN REGIONAL OFFICE

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

PUBLIC POLICY

• Help SPI members in Southern region coordinate Congressional plant tours and District Meetings with state and/or federal policy makers.
• Form strategic public policy relationships with manufacturing organizations in key Southern states.
• Host legislative receptions in key Southern states providing members with one-on-one opportunities to discuss issues of concern with state lawmakers.

MEMBERSHIP PRODUCTS & SERVICES

• Increase SPI’s Southern region membership through the help of the SPI South Membership Committee.
• Develop awareness and involvement of SPI Southern members in SPI Business Units, Cost-Saving Programs and the SPI myPlasticsIndustry.com interactive web portal for the global plastics industry.
• Promote the traveling polymeric science program, PlastiVan™, to plastics companies throughout the South.
• Market the 2008 SPI Annual Meeting.
