Objectives
To promote the growth and prestige of the thermoforming industry by
encouraging the use of good manufacturing practices in compliance with
recognized standards of practice.
To enhance communications about thermoforming by originating,
compiling and disseminating technical, statistical, safety and other
information that is of interest to the public, industry and governmental bodies.
To promote the development of new applications and proper use of
thermoforming by the processor, disseminating scientific, engineering
and other information on thermoforming of various polymeric materials.
To develop technical specifications, chemical and physical test procedures;
to recommend standards on plastic sheet and thermoforming for formal
promulgation, where appropriate, through recognized standards-making
Organizations.

Awards
The annual Thermoforming Institute National Award (TINA) program is held in conjunction with one of the bi-annual meetings of the Institute. Criteria for the award include unique design and thermoforming state-of-the-art.
The 2003 TINA winners were awarded at the Ti Annual Winter meeting held in Sarasota, Florida in March. The following are our TINA award winners:
