(WASHINGTON) – The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) elected its 2018 PLASTICS Officers, welcoming seven plastics leaders to bolster the association’s commitment to serving the entire plastics industry supply chain by lending their deep expertise and talent. The Officers will be led by Royce Associates’ Partner and Director Wylie H. Royce who will serve as Chair, effective January 1, 2018.

“These leaders work to make our members and the industry more globally competitive, advance sustainability and promote plastics manufacturing, and we are thrilled to work with them,” said PLASTICS’ President & CEO William R. Carteaux.

The following 2018 PLASTICS Officers will assume the following roles:

  • Chair: Wylie H. Royce, Royce Associates
  • Vice Chair: Phillip E. Wilson, BASF Corporation
  • Treasurer: Tad A. McGwire, Industrial Heater Corp
  • Secretary: James A. Clark, Printpack Inc.
  • Officer At Large: Jay Olson, Deere & Company
  • Officer At Large: Paul Augustoswki, LyondellBasell
  • Officer At Large: Glenn Anderson, Milacron
  • Immediate Past Chair: James O. Murphy, Davis-Standard LLC

“Our company’s 25-year membership with PLASTICS has been extremely beneficial to Royce. So, I am honored and delighted to be able to give back some of what we have received by serving as Chair,” said incoming Chair Wylie Royce, whose company supplies colorants and additives to the plastics industry, specializing in products for food, drug and cosmetic packaging. “I am truly excited at the prospect of bringing decades of business and association experience to the leadership team at PLASTICS and helping further the association’s vision and mission of ‘Better Industry. Better World.’”

Royce was previously PLASTICS’ Vice Chair and is currently the Treasurer of the association’s Food, Drug and Cosmetic Packaging Materials Committee. He also serves as a board member of the Foodservice Packaging Institute (FPI).  He has been named a permanent member of International Who’s Who in Business Professionals, Who’s Who among Rising Young Professionals and Interesting Personalities of America.
