The entire supply chain – equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, Tier 1 companies and processors, brand owners, OEMs and recyclers are represented in the group as it addresses issues around sustainability and end-of-life vehicle recycling, lightweighting and materials issues, and other regulatory, advocacy and education issues of relevance to this particular end market sector.

Highlights of the November meeting include:

  • PLASTICS' President & CEO, Bill Carteaux, discussing the association's advocacy and communications efforts around combating marine debris and improving plastics recovery.
  • Update on Tariff and Trade Issues by PLASTICS' Chief Economist, Perc Pineda
  • Keynote presentation on The Role of Sustainability in "Human Centric Design"
  • Updates on PLASTICS Sustainability Programs, including end-of-life vehicle recycling and Zero Net Waste initiatives
  • TIP Business Roundtable: An open discussion about Supply Chain Emerging Issues, Industry Trends, Benchmarking Ideas and Opportunities, Sustainability Challenges, and Industry Needs

The November TIP Meeting is scheduled for the morning after the 48th SPE Automotive Innovation Awards Gala. A separate registration is required for the SPE Gala.

Whether transportation, furniture, packaging or construction, the Transportation and Industrial Plastics (TIP) Committee draws in those users “at the top of the use (food) chain” and gets them engaged in this industry that is vital to them, as well as the plastics industry as a whole.
