These are: low interest rates, and the need for increased productivity in order to meet rising aggregate demand," according to Bill Wood, the plastics market economist who analyzes and reports on the plastics machinery market sector for the CES.

  • CalRecycle Seeks Feedback on “75% Initiative” Proposals at Recent Packaging Workshop
    California’s Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) hosted a Packaging Workshop on Nov. 13 in Sacramento. While the agency didn’t reveal any specific policy actions that it planned to take in pursuit of the state’s “75% Initiative,” the goal of which is make 75 percent of California’s solid waste source-reduced, recycled or composted by 2020, CalRecycle did discuss the state of California’s packaging landscape and the state’s waste management infrastructure.
