General Information

Is Your Facility Subject To MACT Standards? Maximum Achievable Control Technology or MACT Standards, as they are known, are treatment standards used for hazardous air pollutant emissions under the Clean Air Act. MACT is defined as a technology that will result in the "maximum degree of reductions… achievable," subject to economic, energy and environmental considerations. In the links that follow, SPI provides a brief primer on MACT Standards, focusing on several MACT Standards that may affect your company.
