PLASTICS member TOSAF Inc. hosted North Carolina State Representatives Dana Bumgardner (R-109) and Kelly Hastings (R-110) at their Bessemer City facility on October 2nd. The site is TOSAF Group’s first U.S. facility which employs 25 people and is growing. TOSAF Inc. uses their proprietary equipment to compound additives and colors for the plastics industry.

Both legislators were pleased to have the opportunity to visit the plant after having just heard TOSAF Inc. CEO Ron Dvir speak about the company at a Manufacturing Roundtable hosted by the Gaston County Economic Development Commission celebrating Manufacturing Week. As a result, both Rep. Bumgardner and Hastings were able to immediately begin the tour and observe the operations. The tour began in the lab where the company runs various processing equipment to analyze resin properties, and ended in the expansive manufacturing floor and warehouse that houses TOSAF’s inventory and manufacturing equipment.

Production Manager Nick Hiebert and CEO Ron Dvir were pleased to show the representatives their operations. The tour also gave them the opportunity to ask how North Carolina and the region can encourage other businesses to establish themselves in the area.  Furthermore, TOSAF explained their unique solutions to support numerous downstream markets.

TOSAF Inc. is proud of their move to Bessemer City, and is looking forward to a promising future.
