Earlier this fall, PLASTICS Member PCS Company hosted Michigan State Representative Bill Sowerby (D-31) and State Senator Steve Bieda at their Fraser, MI facility. Representative Sowerby has been involved in public service in the Macomb County area for over 25 years before being elected to the State House in 2016. Senator Bieda has served in the state legislature since 2002, being elected to the State Senate in 2010.

PCS Company is a manufacturer and supplier of mold bases, mold components, molding supplies, hot runner systems and components and cutting tools. The company dates back to 1960 and has positioned itself as a key supplier to mold builders and molders within the plastics market. PCS prides itself on its ability to meet quality, cost and timeliness requirements for its customers.

Rep. Sowerby and Senator Bieda first joined members of the PCS executive team to learn more about the company’s products and history. They also discussed workforce acquisition and training, trade and state financing and other regulatory matters before taking a tour of the facility which included CAD and CAM operations, mold base machining operations and ejector and core pin manufacturing demonstrations.
