Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) President & CEO Tony Radoszewski:

“It bears repeating, but phasing out plastics would be a disaster for our economy and our environment. Whether it’s Iowa or New Hampshire or South Carolina or any other state the fact remains that plastic products are not the problem; the way they’re disposed of is. This is the second time in as many months that democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden has used our industry and the things it delivers to signal to the electorate that eliminating plastics is “environmentally-friendly.” We hope that if he has a chance to govern our great nation he will rely more on science than he does on sensation.”
