Plastics Industry Association Meetings Canceled

March 12, 2020

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) announced today that its 2020 Spring National Board Meeting and the Plastics Industry Fly-In on March 24 – 26 in Washington, D.C. are canceled. Some aspects will be moved to a virtual platform at a future date.

The Plastics Industry Fly-In and 2020 Posthumous Plastics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be rescheduled to a date to be determined. Capitol Hill has ceased all public tours and The U.S. Capitol will be restricted to official business through at least the end of March.

“As a precaution for the safety of our members, guests, and staff amid the growing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, I, along with the PLASTICS’ Board Chairman, have decided to cancel the Spring Board Meetings and Plastics Industry Fly-In,” said PLASTICS President and CEO, Tony Radoszewski, CAE. “Moving some aspects of the meeting to a future date demonstrates the continued commitment to the important work of PLASTICS membership during this critical time.”

“We will continue to monitor the coronavirus and its possible impact on our other upcoming events,” Radoszewski continued. “Our principal concern is the safety and wellness of our members, attendees, staff, vendors and the plastics industry. As such, we will continue to follow the official Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines regarding COVID-19, and take every precaution to keep our staff safe and our office open for business as we conduct these virtual meetings.”
