Plastics Industry Association Names Matthew Glaser Senior Director, Industry Engagement

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) is pleased to announce that Matthew Glaser has been named Senior Director, Industry Engagement, effective immediately.  

In this role, Glaser will serve as director for PLASTICS’ Processors Council, responsible for managing all activities of the PLASTICS Processors Council, enhancing member benefits while integrating broader association strategy regarding advocacy, communication, engagement, and sustainability into those activities. The Processors Council— one of three councils representing the association’s primary constituent groups—is the main point of engagement for plastics industry processors and converters serving industry segments and end markets, including flexible and rigid packaging as well as transportation and other durable applications.

Glaser joins PLASTICS after working for the American Petroleum Institute, where he served as Senior Program Manager for Global Business Development. Glaser’s wide-ranging career also includes executive positions with National Association of Chemical Distributors, as well as education and leadership posts at several other Washington-based associations.

A University of Maryland graduate with a B.A. in Government & Politics, Glaser also holds an M.S. in Management from University of Maryland Global Campus.
