SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association to Co-Locate with Amerimold

Washington, D.C., November 16, 2016 - SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association today announced its inaugural Plastics Shop Floor Expo, a show which will co-locate with Amerimold, an annual event where the mold manufacturing industry connects. Plastics Shop Floor Expo in combination with Amerimold will give plastics industry members the opportunity to shop the floor to find commercial products, services and technologies designed for the maintenance, repair, operating and full supply chain components of plastics manufacturing facilities to keep them running. The expo will take place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL from June 14-15, 2017.

“The Plastics Shop Floor Expo is unique in that it offers a complete view of plastics operations, from training and exhibits geared toward the entire plastics supply chain to tooling and mold manufacturing,” said SPI President and CEO William R. Carteaux. “The co-location with Amerimold gives SPI the opportunity to reach a broad range of plastics industry professionals, and vice-versa. We are pleased to partner with Amerimold.”

Plastics Shop Floor Expo attendees can expect an experience which combines the best of SPI’s NPE: The Plastics Show, a triennial global plastics tradeshow, with focused training sessions, new products and fresh perspectives which will provide shop floor management with the resources they need to run their businesses. Building off of the momentum and prestige of NPE: The Plastics Show, Plastics Shop Floor Expo is a regional opportunity for industry leaders to have face-to-face opportunities to discuss industry topics and share best practices annually.

“Amerimold has a long history of connecting the mold manufacturing industry – from design to build, maintenance and injection molding.  We are pleased to partner with SPI and the Plastics Show Floor Expo to offer visitors additional value and an ability to expand their knowledge of plastics processing,” said Allison Miller, director of Amerimold.
