W. Scott Thurlow, a lawyer, was called to the bar of Ontario in 2003. He currently serves as Senior Advisor, Government Affairs to Dow Canada ULC .

He is a member of the Minister of Health and Minister of Environment & Climate Change’s stakeholder advisory council on the Chemicals Management Plan.[i] From 2012-2014, he served as the President of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA), where he represented the interests of the producers of Ethanol and Renewable Diesel in Canada.

Mr. Thurlow previously served as the Director of Parliamentary Affairs to the Minister of Natural Resources in 2005. In addition to preparing the Minister and Parliamentary Secretary for Question Period and Parliamentary debates, Scott was responsible for the Atlantic desk in the Minister’s office. 

Scott earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Carleton University, a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, and his law degree from the University of Ottawa.
