Dear Members,
The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has created an unprecedented situation across the globe, presenting us with new challenges every day.
With the outbreak continuing to expand in the U.S., companies are responding to mandates and recommendations by restricting travel, avoiding group gatherings, and taking steps to protect employees, while still working to serve customers.
We are closely monitoring developments, as well as updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local governments.
We recognize that many of our plastics industry companies are focused on other issues and we want to help our members plan effectively during this critical time. It is also of the utmost importance that we put the health and safety of members and the plastics industry first.
It is for these reasons that we have canceled a number of our spring 2020 events, allowing our members to focus on core operations, conserve resources, and do what you do best – produce products that enrich, protect, and help save lives.
Following are events that have been affected to date:
- 2020 Spring National Board Meeting, March 24-26 – Canceled
- Plastics Industry Fly-In, March 25 – Canceled
- 2020 Equipment & Moldmakers Summit, April 27-29 – Canceled
- The CES Annual Meeting, April 27 – Virtual Meeting
- Machinery Safety Technical Committee Meeting (dates coming soon) – Virtual Meeting
As we move forward, we will continue to assess this dynamic situation and will keep an open line of communication with you, making you aware of updates as they occur.
Our thoughts are with those directly affected by the virus, and all those who are struggling with the ramifications of this global health crisis. We look forward to connecting with you in the future and hope you stay safe and in good health.
With kind regards,
Tony Radoszewski
