On Tuesday evening, April 26th, the staff at PLASTICS received an email from Tad McGwire, Chair of the PLASTICS Board of Directors. In it, he announced that Matt Seaholm, VP of Government Affairs and Glenn Anderson, VP of Member Engagement, had been appointed by the board as the association’s new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

With these appointments, the board quickly filled a leadership void, enabling the association to move forward with two excellent leaders in place.  In making the announcement, Tad McGwire, Chair of the PLASTICS Board of Directors said, “We are incredibly excited to elevate both of these gentlemen to lead this organization into the future.”

Legislative and advocacy expertise

Matt Seaholm is a Wisconsin native who first came to PLASTICS in 2016 as Executive Director of ARPBA (American Recyclable Plastic Bag Alliance), bringing with him an excellent track record that includes advocacy roles, strategic political campaign positions and service on Capitol Hill. In 2020, he became PLASTICS Vice President of Government Affairs, leading our expert team of legislative and regulatory specialists.

Member perspective and industry knowhow

Glenn Anderson brings with him a wealth of experience that includes nearly forty years in the world of plastics machinery manufacturing, most of that spent at PLASTICS member, Milacron, where Glenn began as a sales engineer and rose to the level of senior vice president. It was at Milacron that Glenn first became involved at PLASTICS, learning the association and serving in many leadership capacities.
