The Plastics Industry Association’s (PLASTICS’) President & CEO Bill Carteaux has officially taken the helm of the Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) for a one-year term.
The group, an important arm of the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM), consists of 260 industry-specific manufacturing associations that unites the manufacturing community, and ultimately the broader business community, on the common goals of strengthening the industry for more jobs, investment and innovation.
Carteaux’s theme for his chairmanship? “We Made That.”
“Manufacturers contribute greatly to the economy. Everything we make touches each and every person in this world,” Carteaux said. “Yet, the average person doesn’t appreciate what we do. Manufacturers need to do a better job at telling “our story”. My theme for this year is ‘We Made That’ so we can highlight our contributions to the economy.”
Stay tuned for more updates on CMA’s important contributions to manufacturing, and to plastics, throughout Bill’s term and beyond. Check out Bill's Facebook Live segment at the CMA Winter Leadership Conference here.

That means almost a quarter of our federally elected officials have not heard from our industry and what is important to us. -
