  • Date: April 27 - 29, 2020
  • Held At: The Galt House Hotel, Louisville, Kentucky

This meeting will take a hard look at where the industry is and where it is going from a machinery and moldmakers perspective.

The theme of the 2020 Equipment and Moldmakers Leadership Summit is “Plastics: An Industry Worth Fighting For.” The conference will be kicked off by the Committee on Equipment Statistics (CES) Annual Meeting and a Machinery Safety Standards Meeting. The agenda is then filled with critical presentations on OHSA, the state of the economy, the government and tariffs, NPE and an overall update on the industry and the Plastics Industry Association from the new CEO and President, Tony Radoszewski. There will also be a panel on "Fighting for Our Image: Taking Action." The agenda will be rounded out with the keynote, Major Lisa Jaster, the first female U.S. Army Reserve officer to become a Ranger School graduate, speaking on Leadership and Peak Performance. The Summit will conclude with the unique opportunity to hear directly from peers in an industry round table discussion the issues and challenges they are facing.

Aditionally, The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) is announcing a meeting of the Machinery Safety Technical Committee in conjunction with the 2020 Equipment and Moldmakers Leadership Summit in Louisville, Kentucky.  The main purpose of the meeting will be to review progress on PLASTICS’ Standards five year workplan and appointing leadership for coming projects. PLASTICS standards meetings are open to all interested parties.
