NPE2027 Opens Call for Speakers, Invites Industry Leaders to ‘Share What’s Next’

WASHINGTON, D.C. — NPE2027: The Plastics Show®, produced by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), is now accepting speaker proposals for its education program, inviting plastics leaders, innovators, and subject matter experts to showcase the ideas, technologies, and strategies shaping the future of plastics.

Held May 3–7, 2027, at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) in Orlando, Florida, NPE2027 will bring together more than 51,000 attendees and 2,200 exhibitors from over 130 countries. The call for speakers gives professionals across the plastics value chain a platform to share breakthrough ideas, practical insights, and emerging trends at one of the world’s largest plastics trade shows.

“NPE has always been the place where the plastics industry comes together to exchange ideas, showcase innovation, and explore what’s next,” said Angela Mealy, PLASTICS Executive Director of NPE. “The show’s educational programming is designed to bring forward timely conversations and actionable insights from across the industry. From sustainability and automation to workforce development and next-generation manufacturing, we’re looking for speakers who can help attendees better understand the technologies, challenges, and opportunities shaping the future of the industry.”

NPE2027 is currently seeking proposals for two session formats:

  • Show Floor Stage Presentations: 30-minute sessions hosted on the show floor at the Innovation Stage, Sustainability Stage, or Packaging Stage, designed to deliver high-impact insights and practical takeaways.
  • Classroom Sessions: 30- to 60-minute educational sessions offering deeper-dive learning opportunities in a classroom setting.

Presentation topics align across NPE2027’s eight content tracks, spanning regulation and policy, workforce development, materials and manufacturing innovation, automation and digital systems, end markets, as well as sustainability and circularity.

The call for speakers builds on the strong momentum already underway for NPE2027. Earlier this year, more than 1,105 companies secured exhibit space during the event’s Space Selection and Planning gathering, resulting in one of the largest early sales totals in NPE history and selling 82% of the show floor.

Speaker proposals are now being accepted through the NPE2027 website until August 14, 2026. The proposal guidelines offer additional detail on content tracks and guidance for preparing a strong submission.

Additional details on programming, special features, and education opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
