ANSI/PLASTICS B151.5-2020 Safety Requirements for Plastic Film and Sheet Winding and Unwinding Machinery

This standard sets forth the requirements for plastic film/sheet winding, slitter rewinding, and unwinding machinery. It does not cover the material handling process for loading or unloading the materials onto the winders. Suppliers and users of this machinery are required to conduct a risk assessment during manufacturing, maintenance, and use in order to minimize or eliminate risks. Any deviations from the standard must be supported by a documented risk assessment that demonstrates acceptable residual risk.
