In addition to being recognized as one of theGold 100 shows of the year earlier in 2025, NPE2024 has now been shortlisted as a finalist for two Grand Awards in the categories of:
Driving Growth Through Strategic Partnerships
NPE2024 is a finalist for the Best Strategic Partnership Award in recognition of the powerful collaborations that made the show’s return a major success. After a six-year hiatus, PLASTICS worked hand-in-hand with a network of trusted partners, in external fields including marketing, sales, event strategy, international translations, media, and operations, to deliver an event that exceeded expectations.
The results were record-breaking for NPE2024:
“We are honored that NPE2024 has been recognized among the best of the best at the Gold 100 Awards,” said Matt Seaholm, President and CEO of PLASTICS. “This recognition reflects the tireless work of our team and partners to deliver an event that not only welcomed more than 51,000 attendees, but also showcased the strength of the plastics industry, advanced real sustainability progress, and set a new standard for global industry gatherings. These nominations are a true testament to our shared achievement.”
Championing a Greener World
NPE2024 also earned its place as a finalist for Show with the Most Commendable Green Initiatives thanks to its commitment to sustainability across all aspects of the event, including a brand-new Sustainability Hub.
NPE2024 featured 10,500 net square feet of recycling and sustainability exhibits, including the NPE Recycling Center which spotlighted sustainability demonstrations on and off the show floor. Through the Recycling Center, the show achieved its goal of a 100% diversion rate by recycling all collected plastics, cardboard, and aluminum, preventing 516,160 pounds of waste from going to landfills.
Additionally, The Sustainability Stage hosted more than 20 education sessions on solutions to reduce materials loss, use less power, and more.
“Being recognized as a finalist for these two awards underscores the impact NPE2024 had not just on our industry but on the future of sustainable innovation,” said Patrick Krieger, Senior Vice President of Sustainability and Policy at PLASTICS. “The Sustainability Hub brought together industry leaders to show what’s possible in a circular economy, while our partnerships proved that collaboration can set a new standard for how trade shows embrace sustainability.”
Through hands-on exhibits and the participation of more than two dozen exhibitors, the Sustainability Hub highlighted solutions in recycled materials, sustainable manufacturing, circularity, and waste prevention and recovery.
