Washington D.C.— The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) today released the following statement after President Trump signed legislation to end the government shutdown:
“The Plastics Industry Association applauds President Trump, Majority Leader Thune, Speaker Johnson, and the bipartisan members of Congress who acted quickly to end the shutdown, restore government operations, protect our economy, and keep America’s manufacturers moving forward,” said Matt Seaholm, President & CEO of the Plastics Industry Association.
“We appreciate the President’s swift action in signing this funding package without delay, allowing operations to stabilize, workers to remain on the job, and America’s manufacturing strength to endure. We’re encouraged by lawmakers who put country ahead of politics, and we hope to see this same bipartisan commitment as we work to strengthen U.S. manufacturing competitiveness.”
