Plastics Industry Association Celebrates Women of the Industry

Washington D.C.— In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) recognizes the accomplishments of women in the plastics industry. From research and development to manufacturing and leadership, women have made invaluable contributions that have been critical to the growth of the industry that will continue to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders.

Throughout March, PLASTICS’ social media channels will highlight women from across the industry and their accomplishments.

“As the 6th largest U.S manufacturing industry, the plastics industry has the opportunity and responsibility to recognize the important role that women play in the workforce and the positive impact they make every day,” said Holli Alexander, Eastman’s Strategic Initiative Manager of Sustainability. “It’s inspiring to see the accomplishments of women in our industry and I am honored to work alongside them.”

Ashley Hood-Morley, PLASTICS’ Vice President of Industry Engagement said, “In my role at PLASTICS, I have the privilege of meeting with women in the plastics industry every day. I continue to be impressed by the accomplishments and vital contributions women make in our industry. The expertise, innovation, skills and leadership of women are integral to the success of our industry and the future of plastics.”
