WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) applauds Senator John Curtis (R-UT) for introducing the Recycled Materials Attribution Act (RMAA), S.5674.
“We thank Senator Curtis for his leadership on this important recycling reform. The RMAA would establish consistent national definitions for recycling and recycled content, creating the certainty needed to strengthen American manufacturing, encourage investment and innovation, and address the growing patchwork of state requirements. These reforms would reduce consumer confusion and strengthen recycling markets.
The RMAA’s introduction in the Senate and recent approval by the House Energy and Commerce Committee reflect continued momentum for recycling reform. We look forward to continuing to work with Senator Curtis, Representative Nick Langworthy and congressional cosponsors to advance this legislation.”
