This guideline aims to establish a standardized set of safety signs for plastic machinery and related equipment, addressing common hazards. It was developed by the Safety Sign Development Committee of The Machinery Division of The Society of the Plastics Industry, in collaboration with representatives from the Technical Committee of EUROMAP. The goal is to ensure that these safety signs comply with relevant ANSI and ISO/IC standards for safety symbols and product safety signs. The guideline provides recommendations for the use and placement of safety signs on plastic machinery and related equipment, taking into account the variations in design among manufacturers.
